How the dispute works
- 1. Free claim review — send the insurer's valuation report. We check the comparables: wrong trim, mileage, region, and condition ratings are routine, and each one costs you money.
- 2. Research & comps — we build your vehicle's documented market value from real comparable sales, properly adjusted.
- 3. Audit & negotiate — the documented analysis goes to the adjuster. Many disputes settle right here.
- 4. Invoke the appraisal clause — if they won't move, we act as your appraiser under the clause already in your policy. Independent valuation, umpire resolution, no lawsuit.

First party or third party — both covered
Disputing your own insurer's ACV (first party) uses the appraisal clause. Disputing the at-fault carrier's total loss number (third party) runs on comps, examiner escalation, and appraisal pressure. The Claim Checkup routes you to the right track in under a minute.
